UNDATED - Five private and one public garden in Hall County were on display Saturday as part of the annual Master Gardeners' Garden Walk.

"In Our Own Back Yards" was co-sponsored by the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension/Hall County.

"Showcasing the talents of some of our leading master gardeners creates a wonderful garden-tour experience," said Robbie McCormac, chairman of this year's garden walk. "The gardeners have been working for the past year to ready their gardens. Each one is distinct in style and design."

The five private gardens that were on display:

"Fran Henry - 4014 Lyman Way - Gainesville
"Helen Hyatt - 5404 Three Lakes Court - Flowery Branch
"Marguerite Jones - 3584 Ridgewood Point - Gainesville
"Pamela Keene - 6256 Mount Salem Circle - Flowery Branch
"Dave Rusk - 5542 Union Church Road - Flowery Branch

"We...also (highlighted) a project completed recently by our Master Gardeners called Gardens on Green at the Hall County Board of Education office," McCormac said. "These public gardens have been designed and installed by our Master Gardeners and serve as an educational resource to the Hall County School System and the community at large."

Each garden offered special extras: two featured educational information, two served refreshments, one featured live music and one was the site of pass-along plants, free plants shared by Hall County Master Gardeners.
