ATLANTA – Delta Community Credit Union, a Founding Partner of the Gwinnett Braves, a Triple-A Minor League Baseball team owned by the Atlanta Braves, will host Delta Community Credit Union Night Saturday, June 6th at the 7 p.m. game. The Lawrenceville-based team will take on the Columbus Clippers at Gwinnett Braves Ballpark. Delta Community will be honored with a sponsorship award in the middle of the game’s 3rd inning.
“Being the largest credit union in Georgia, we are excited to enter into a partnership with Delta Community Credit Union,” said Gwinnett Braves General Manager Bruce Baldwin. “This initial partnership is the first step in a mutually beneficial and prosperous relationship.”
Todd Marksberry, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Delta Community, is a long-time resident of Gwinnett County and says, “Many of our customers live in the Gwinnett County area and we are proud to show our commitment to this community.” Delta Community operates two Kroger branches in Buford and Suwanee and a free-standing branch in Duluth. In late June, the credit union will open its fourth Gwinnett branch in Snellville.”
During the June 6th game, Delta Community staff will be on hand distributing piggy banks to the first 2500 kids under 12 years of age who walk through the gate. Prior to the game, the national anthem will be sung by Todd Marksberry, and the game’s opening pitch will be thrown by his son, Trey Marksberry, a student at Collins Hill High School.
