Three-county chase ends near Athens

ATHENS - A suspect is in custody following a high speed chase through three northeast Georgia counties Thursday morning.
Police say it started after an armed robbery in Franklin County.
They say the suspect fled down I-85... getting off the Interstate at Athens Highway in Pendergrass and speeding toward Athens.
He was caught about 9:15 on the Highway 10 Loop near Jennings Mill in Athens.
