Tennis: Johnson girls defeat Gainesville

GAINESVILLE -- The Johnson girls tennis team defeated Gainesville 5-0 on Tuesday evening at Longwood Park in Gainesville.

In No. 1 singles Johnson's Cady Nix took the win 6-3, 6-4. Johnson also won the No. 2 spot with Kamy Field, 6-0, 6-3. The No. 3 spot rounded out Johnson's singles wins with Katie Clark sweeping 6-0, 6-0.

Johnson kept up the pace in doubles play. The No. 1 spot was won by Laura Gazaway and Annabeth Peace, 6-1, 6-1. No. 2 spot saw Claire Crain and Harlee Robson take the win 6-1, 6-0.
