DAHLONEGA -- Devaris Finch poured in 25 points to lead Johnson to an 80-74 upset win over Creekview in the first round of the Region 7-AAA boys basketball tournament at the Lumpkin County gym.

The Knights (13-11) avenged an earlier loss to the Grizzlies (17-10) who closed out the season losing five of their last seven games.

Johnson next will take on arch-rival and top seed Gainesville on Thursday at the Gainesville gym for a shot at the state tournament. Johnson lost both games to Gainesville during the regular season - 80-46 back in January and 63-62 last week in the regular season finale.

Johnson led 43-36 at halftime and held off several late challenges by Creekview to get the win.

Matt Hollis added 13 points and Grant Cagle 12 for Johnson.
