ATLANTA (AP) State Transportation Commissioner Gena Abraham and former board chairman Mike Evans are married.

The pair, embroiled in a controversial romance that surfaced last April, were married on Saturday night at Abraham's lake house on Lake Martin in Alabama.

An Alabama circuit court judge performed the ceremony and Gov. Sonny Perdue stood beside the judge and then said, ``May I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Mike Evans.''

Abraham was slapped with a reprimand from the board in April for failing to report her romantic relationship with Evans sooner. Evans resigned from the board April 17 to pursue what he described as a budding romance with Abraham.
