Teen kills man in robbery attempt

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Savannah police are looking for a lone teen gunman in the fatal shooting of a gas station clerk during a robbery attempt.

Police say the victim, 42-year-old Jatinkumar ``Justin'' Patel, of Savannah, died on the scene at the BP station near Skidaway Road. The shooting occurred at 12:10 a.m. Saturday.

Patel leaves a wife and an 8-year-old daughter. Friends say the Patels came to this country in 2005. His wife and daughter returned to India last year. Patel planned to follow.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Sgt. Mike Wilson says a second employee, 24-year-old Prakashkumar ``KP'' Pansuria, also was shot. He's expected to recover.
