GAINESVILLE – Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) recently announced that Steve Musselwhite has been named director of Respiratory Therapy.
Musselwhite will oversee adult and neonatal respiratory care and respiratory services at NGMC’s Sleep Disorders Center. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Russ DuTeau, who served as director for 21 years.
Musselwhite is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and the University of Georgia. He previously served as clinical operations manager in NGMC’s Respiratory Therapy department. Before coming to NGMC, Musselwhite served as supervisor and assistant director of Respiratory Therapy at Gwinnett Medical Center. He has also served as a board member of the Hall County American Heart Association, affiliate faculty for Basic Life Support and an advance cardiac life support instructor.
Musselwhite lives in Gainesville with his wife, Gail Turk Musselwhite. They have two children, Tyler, a senior at North Georgia College and State University, and a daughter, Abby, a freshman at the University of Georgia. He is the son of Dorothy Musselwhite, formerly of Thomson, Ga., and the late Harry Musselwhite.
