GAINESVILLE - A decision not to wear a seatbelt has landed a Gainesville man in jail.

Casey Jones, 23, was pulled over Wednesday night when Hall County authorities spotted him driving without a seatbelt. They found almost $10,000 worth of drugs in his car, Lt. Scott Ware with the Gainesville-Hall County Gang Task Force said.

Jones had $7,000 worth of methamphetamine and $1,200 worth of Alprazolam tablets, Ware said.

He's been charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of Alprazolam with the intent to distribute, driving with a suspended license and driving without a seatbelt.
