Lanier Tech GED graduation held

GAINESVILLE – Brenau University's Pearce Auditorium was the scene Tuesday night of the Lanier Technical College GED graduation ceremony.

More than 450 men and women from three North Georgia counties received a General Education Diploma (GED). People from Hall, Forsyth and Dawson counties were represented in the ceremony.

Each of the three counties represented presented scholarships to graduates.

The Gainesville-Hall County Junior League gave a continuing education scholarship and the Rotary Club of South Hall gave a scholarship as well.

Forsyth County presented the Jimmy Henderson Award, the South Forsyth Rotary Award and the Andy Miller Scholarship. Dawson County presented the Lion’s Club- Morris Taylor Memorial Scholarship, READ Scholarship and the Women’s Club-Helen Taylor Scholarship.

A reception was held in Yonah Hall following the program.
