CLEVELAND - A 24-year-old Cleveland man has died of his wounds after being stabbed outside a Helen night spot early Thursday.

White County Coroner Ricky Barrett said Darrin Keith Ramey was pronounced dead at 1:45 Thursday morning at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

According to Barrett, the stabbing occurred outside the Southside Bar and Grill.

Helen Police Chief Ted Ray said they have two suspects in custody: Sam Abernathy, 39, and John Paul Geren, both also from Cleveland. Ray said investigators are still trying to sort out all the details about what happened and why.
