Forsyth County girl dies from car accident injuries

CUMMING - A 10-year-old Forsyth County girl has died from injuries received in a traffic accident earlier this month.
Coroner Lauren McDonald says Kiran Rao was in a minivan with her mother and brother.
"They were struck in the passengers side by an intoxicated driver," McDonald said.
The girl and her mother were both airlifted to Atlanta hospitals.
"The young girl lived for about a week at Scottish Rite," according to McDonald.
The other driver, Gregory Lee Wills of Buford, was not injured in the December 11 crash.
Rao died on Friday; funeral services are planned for this weekend.
