National recognition for local book series
GAINESVILLE - Two Hall County educators Rosemary Carter and Brenda Gentille have been named as finalist for a national book award.
Carter who wrote the books "Roberto said Adios" and "Roberto's Great Adventure" said she and illustrator Gentille were recognized by the USA Book News Awards.
"We won as a finalist in the category of children's picture books with audio," she said.
Both books are taught as part of the ESL curriculum in Hall County Schools.
