Forsyth County community group provides children with books
CUMMING - Children in Forsyth County who need books in their home now have a way to get them for free.

Chairman of the Forsyth County Ferst Foundation John Hayes said the foundation was started in Forsyth just this year.

"It's a community-based group that provides and pays for books being sent every month to kids under five years old in their community," said Hayes.

He said many different organizations in the county make up community action teams which fund the program.

The goal of the foundation is to send books from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to every child in Georgia by 2010.

Forsyth is one of over 40 counties in Georgia served by the Ferst Foundaiton.
