Voice 4 Victims
For the past several years, it has been my honor to be a part of one of the greatest movements that has ever occurred in the criminal justice and judicial system. That, of course, is the movement to ensure that each person who falls victim to crime receives those benefits and rights that they, by law, are entitled to. As the Director of the Victim Witness Program for the Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office, I have seen first hand how crime can completely destroy one's life, as well as, the entire families of those who have been victimized. While great strides have been made over the last few years to ensure that crime victims rights are being met, there is still much work to be done. The goal of this site is to simply be an avenue for victims and advocates of victims to gain the maximum amount of information about what to expect concerning those rights and how to ensure that they are received.
Several links are available through this site which will provide even more information on a local, state, and federal level through other victim oriented organizations. Through our Behind The Badge cable access show, we have tried to be a bully pulpit for crime victims here in our county. Hopefully, these shows have been successful in our attempt to educate and acclimate our citizens about issues that are of a criminal justice and judicial nature. A list of previous shows is available on this site for anyone who would like to see former episodes. Thanks to all of you for the tremendous feedback that we have received from this program. If you have comments or ideas for the show, you can reach us at email@example.com

There is a huge difference between an article and a blog. Huge difference! A blogger, in my humble opinion, is someone who uses the vastness and anonymity of the Internet to rant and rage about a subject matter in which they proclaim to be an expert.
I have become a big picture guy. I acknowledge that the end result of most everything, as it applies to the bigger picture, is only possible due to the countless amounts of small picture issues that must take place on the front end. I understand it; I acknowledge it; I just don’t want to be involved with it.
There are no two ways about it; this article is addressed to my Republican friends. If you happen to be a Democrat or an Independent, or whatever…you are obviously also welcomed to read it too. If for no other reason, you might just read it for a few kicks and giggles. Who knows; you might even get a little something out of it.

As a writer, my biggest fear is that I will run out of things to write about. I know; it seems impossible with all of the things that are going on in the world today.
I was driving along the other day enjoying the comfortable, cool, and quiet ride that today’s automobiles provide…Ahhhhh, peace and quiet, ultimate comfort.
That’s just politics! How many times have we heard that one before? Every time we get wind of something that happened, which obviously should not have happened, it is always justified by the “well…..that’s just politics” refrain. What does that even mean? Does it mean that we have to accept corruption, unethical behavior, cronyism, under the table deals, and so on and so on because “well…that’s just politics?”
