Calvin Hill(R-Canton, Ga) didn't expect to be talking about steamy sex courses at Georgia's public universities in this legislative session. President Obama has shown the dent in his shield. He's sensitive about what people think of him. The mainstream media will never give him a break, but conservatives should probably be comfortable with new RNC Chairman Michael Steele. In a few days, America will swear in the first president who identifies himself as black. Saxby Chambliss beat the odds yesterday, winning re-election by the huge margin of almost 15 points. Forget the history. Forget that Georgia hasn't re-elected a U. S. Senator since Sam Nunn. Michael Steele is a busy man. Between his duties as GOPAC Chairman, this past weekend Steele was keeping tabs on the Republican Governors Association meeting in Southern Florida and addressing a group at "Restoration Weekend" sponsored by David Horowitz's Freedom Center. "They are not my property. Just like the lighting and the staging and everything else that the RNC purchased, I'm not taking them with me." ~ Gov. Sarah Palin in Charlotte, North Carolina Senator Chambliss, just a few short months ago, was considered to be the safest Republican senator up for re-election in 2008. "Todd and I, we'd be happy to get to Michigan and walk through those plants of the car manufacturers. It seemed as if Senator McCain had lost his running mate. In the "Spin Room" after the McCain-Obama debate Friday night, Governor Sarah Palin was nowhere to be seen or heard. Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY): "You got to be kind to the disabled." (when asked about Gov. Sarah Palin) Newt Gingrich tapped the mood of the country when he launched his Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less movement under his "American Solutions" umbrella. I talked to Princella Smith from American Solutions at the Republican National Convention--she was at the DNC also--Here's what she had to say..... "She is not appealing to the same women who were really voting or supporting Hillary Clinton on ideological issues but they think that they can peel off some of these working class women, not college educated, who, the blue collar women who were voting for Hillary Clinton and may be more conservative on social causes." -- Andrea Mitchell, NBC News Hillary Clinton was on her game Tuesday.
