Eugene “Fig” Gee, 83, of Dawsonville passed away Monday February 11, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Born August 27, 1929 to the late Tom and Pearl Gee, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mr. Gee worked over 47 years in the poultry feed industry and retired from H.F.C. Fig was an accomplished bowler and enjoyed his time fishing. He was of the Baptist faith and was also preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Margaret Ann Gee, Dawsonville; children, Charles Eugene “Bull” Gee, Charlotte and Danny Abercrombie, Bobby Sheffield, all of Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Albert and Kim Gee, Dawsonville; sister in law, Edith Gee, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Shane Allen, Amy Worley, Kacey Hunt; and a great granddaughter, Olivia Worley.
Funeral services will be held Thursday February 14, 2013 at 3 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rodney Pilcher will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 until 8 at the funeral home.
