Wanda Welch Tanner, 45, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday December 12, 2012 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born July 20, 1967 in Gainesville, Georgia, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 5 years having moved from Dahlonega. A homemaker at her death, she formerly managed The Tanning Studio in Dawsonville. Wanda was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny LaDonna Tanner, and her father, Tommy Welch.

Surviving are her husband, Tim Tanner, Dawsonville; mother and stepfather, Donna and Brent Stamey, Dawsonville; sisters, Lynn Rucker, Gainesville, Carrie Bredhal, Hartwell, B. J. Jackson, Orlando, FL, and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 15, 2012 at 12:30pm at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Gravitt will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 until 12:30 at the funeral home.
