Bernard Virgil Lowry, 87

Bernard Virgil Lowry, age 87 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Willow Brook following an extended illness.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 2:30 – 4:30 pm at Lanier Village Estates. Reverend Bruce Fields and Reverend Richard Evans officiated the celebration.

Mr. Lowry was born March 21, 1925 in Sullivan, Ohio to the late Glen William Lowry and Helen Waltz Lowry. He was a retired Air Nautical Engineer with the Department of Air Force. Bernard also served in the Army, the Navy Reserves and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Mr. Lowry is survived by his wife, Mary-Rose Gauder Lowry and his three children.
