Mr. William “Bill” C. Thompson, III, age 60, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Donna C. Thompson, Sugar Hill, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie and Carlos Montenegro, Sugar Hill, GA and Leslie Thompson, Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren, Anika, Carlos, Ethan and Joshua Montenegro; sister and brother-in-law, Brennie and Max Hall, Cumming, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James D. and Shirley Cox, Greensboro, NC; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Thompson was born October 27, 1952 in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a 1971 graduate of Avondale High School in Avondale Estates, GA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a truck driver for Mayfield Dairy in Braselton, GA. He was an active member of the Buford Church of God where he sang in the choir. He ministered to residents at Una Care, formerly known as Buford Nursing Home. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting and watching movies. His dog’s name was “Pebbles” that he loved very much. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and a devoted Christian. He will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Buford Church of God with Pastor Joey Grizzle and Rev. Gary Christensen officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with military honors.
