Dudley Davis, age 54, of Dahlonega, GA, died Saturday December 1, 2012, at his home following an extended illness.
Dudley was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.
Dudley’s great passion was deer hunting and spending time outdoors. He was fun loving, full of life and never met a stranger. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His life was short but he lived every day to the fullest. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Dudley was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Davis and Mary Lou Pruitt Davis; and brother, Doug Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Shirl Davis, Dahlonega; daughter, Brittany Danielle Davis, Hall County; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth Pruitt, Dahlonega, Glad and Hazel Davis, Dahlonega, Bud and Charlene Davis, Cleveland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Jack Fortner, Dahlonega, Joan Martin, Diane and Ronnie Ellis, and Christine Moss, all of Cleveland. Grandson, Chase Conner Davis also survives along with a large number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Dudley are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.
Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Wayne Turk will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Monday 2 PM until 4 PM and 6 PM until 9 PM.
