Andrew Wallace Mangum, age 74 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Mangum was born December 15, 1937 in Wake County, NC to the late John Wallace and Rubina King Mangum. He was Veteran of the United States Marine Corps with 23 years of service. Mr. Mangum was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign War and a member of Hillman Grove Baptist Church in North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Wayne Mangum.
Survivors include his wife, Yoshiko Kiyuna Mangum, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Russel Flowers, Maryland; sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew W. and Melissa Mangum Jr., Panama City, FL; Philip C. and Tiphiny Mangum, Cleveland; son, John W. Mangum, Cleveland; brother, Norfleet Mangum, Cameron, NC; grandchildren, Callie Flowers, Greg Lewis, Randall Lewis, Alisha Flowers, and Alexander Mangum; great-granddaughter, Riley Flowers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 Thursday, November 15, 2012 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Vandiver will officiate. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery Arlington, VA at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
