Hazel Margaret Cagwin, 89, of Gainesville, GA passed away on November 1, 2012.

Born in Council Bluffs, IA she is predeceased by her husband, James Edwin Cagwin; parents, Elma and Vernon Breitkreutz; brother, Bill Breitkreutz.

Hazel was a nurse at the University of Kansas Medical Center for 16 years. She loved to travel and enjoy nature. Fishing and boating are among her favorite activities. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary and Roger Bruning of Shawnee, KS; son, Bill and Solveig Cagwin of Overland Park, KS; daughter, Pam “Smitty” Zolnierzak and Vic Guadagno of Sparta, NJ; son, Mike and Debbie Cagwin of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Penny and Mike Werkowitch of Osawatomie, KS; sister, Bette and Marvin Friede of Englewood, Fl; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery in Kansas at a later date.
