William Albert Gordon, 88

Mr. William Albert Gordon, age 88, of Maysville, GA died Friday, September 21, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Gordon was born in Banks County to the late Willie F. and Vassie Lewallen Gordon. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Gordon was a painting contractor.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gordon was preceded in death by his sons, Albert R. (Randy) Gordon and Hugh L. (Skeeter) Gordon.

Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife, Louise Laretta Edwards Gordon of Maysville; daughter, Laretta G. Mason of Homer; brothers, Robert H. Gordon of Jonesboro, Winfred F. Gordon of Carnesville, Eugene Gordon of Mabelton and Benny P. Gordon of Maysville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Monday, Sept 24 at Ridgeway Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Manus and Rev. Swayne Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 5 to 8 PM.
