Sara Whitlock Benton, 85

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Sara Whitlock Benton, 85, of Commerce who passed away at the Northridge Nursing Facility on Monday.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Lee and Ethel Wilson Whitlock and was the widow of Wilton Benton.

Survivors include sisters, Mary Brooks of Athens, Eleanor (Mike) Yates and Carolyn Autry, both of California, Jimmy (Mary) Whitlock of Commerce and Max (Peggy) Whitlock of Nicholson as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at 11 AM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM.
