Mrs. Maejelle Seay Bennett, 79 of Gainesville died Sunday May 27, 2012.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Bennett was the daughter of the late Horace and Oddie Mae Chandler Seay. She was a homemaker and attended Main Street School and Gainesville High School and was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bennett was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Eugene Bennett, son and daughter-in-law; Scott and Kathy Bennett, two granddaughters, Shelby Bennett and Evie Bennett; sister, Rachel Seay and sister and brother-in-law; Mickie and Bill Little, all of Gainesville.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 31, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Danny Newbern will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

The family has asked that flowers please be omitted and memorial contributions be made to Scott Bennett, c/o Little & Davenport Funeral Home, P.O. Box 718, Gainesville, Ga. 30503 to help with funeral expenses.
