Memorial services for Valerie Land Martin, age 92, of Demorest will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at 9:00 AM from the St. Mark Catholic Church.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 28, 1918, Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Z. Land. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a volunteer at Habersham Home. Mrs. Martin was also preceded in death by her husband John A. Martin and sister Regina Land.

Survivors include sister Florence Land and brother Richard Land of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and brother Anthony Land of Florida, and close friends Harry and Marie Wohlert of Clarkesville.
