Lewis Wigington, 62Passed Away: 03/25/2008 Mr. Lewis Wigington, 62, of Gainesville died March 25, 2008. A native of Hall County and Gainesville, a graduate of Gainesville High School and Gainesville Junior College, and a member of the Baptist faith, Mr. Wigington was a disabled veteran who served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the United States Postal Service, and also retired after 15 years as a Hall County bus driver. He and his father operated Lanier Service Station for 23 years. He was preceded in death by his father, N.B. Wigington. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Tatum Wigington, Gainesville; daughter, Shelley Leach of Gainesvlle; son and daughter in law, Matt and April Wigington of Gainesville; mother, Bertha W. Wigington of Gainesville; grandchildren, Nicholas Leach, Casey Leach, Caitlyn Wigington, Audrey Thomas, Nolan Thomas and Autumn Thomas, all of Gainesville. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Mason and Ward Funeral Home 1190 McEver Road, Gainesville, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at Mason and Ward Funeral Home. The Rev. Chance Strickland will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
