Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, Georgia announces the death of Mr. J.C. Covington, age 93, of Jefferson, who passed away on March 14, 2008.

He was born on September 3, 1914 in Jackson County, a son to the late Mr. Lee W. Covington and Mrs. Beulah Adams Covington. Mr. Covington was a Carpenter, a Farmer and a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Polly Marlow Covington, Jefferson; daughter, Linda Covington Coleman, Commerce; son, Danny Lee Covington, Jefferson; brother, Ralph Covington, Carnesville; 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 2PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Michael York officiating. The burial will follow in the Cave Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held at from 6-8pm Saturday at the funeral home.
