Joe R. McGehee age 63 of Old Keith Bridge Road, Gainesville passed away Friday March 7, 2008 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Mr. McGehee was born March 30, 1944 in Forsyth County to the late George and Ora Bell Grogan McGehee and Carter and Etta McGehee. He was a Tractor Trailer Driver with Forsyth Concrete for 30 years. Mr. McGehee was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jake and Jim McGehee, and sister, Susie Pendley.

Survivors include: wife, Evelyn A. McNeal McGehee of Gainesville, Son and Daughter in Law, Jason and Amy McGehee of Gainesville, Grandkids, Faith and Ethan McGehee of Gainesville, Sisters and Brothers in law, Katie and Ken Murray of McCaysville,GA, Mary and JC Jones of Gainesville, Sister, Charles Ann Smith of Murrayville, Sisters in Law, Roma Ann McGehee of Alburquerque, New Mexico, Judy McGehee of Hampton, GA, Brothers in Law and Sisters in Law, James and Merle McNeal of Buford, RC and Clara McNeal of Cumming, Doug and Joyce McNeal of Blue Ridge, GA, Mary Ann Gibbs of Gainesville, Mildred and Gene Tysor of Helen, a number of nieces and nephews aunts and uncles also survive.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. James McNeal officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, March 10, 2008, from 2–4 pm and also 7–9 pm.
