Although Union County's over 13,500 residents are widely dispersed, almost half of the labor force works near Blairsville. There are eleven manufacturing firms employing 1,112 people which produce and distribute poultry and other food products, sports apparel, limber, petroleum products, asphalt and leather goods. The Industrial Park underlines the county's commitment to the economic growth.
