Stephens County is nestled amid the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northeast Georgia. Easily accessible from Atlanta and throughout northeast Georgia, Stephens County is conveniently located between the I-985 / Hwy 441 Corridor and I-85, and a network of state highways converge upon the area. The county seat bears the name Toccoa, meaning beautiful, and this beauty is evident throughout the county in its natural wonders, historic attractions, recreational activities, and the way of life found in its neighborhoods and businesses.
