Habersham County has a wide variety of attractions for those who love the outdoors. The county's parks offer such activities as boating, swimming, camping, and fishing. Visitors can hike the trails and enjoy the beauty of the Chattahoochee National Forest, play 18-holes of golf at Eagle Greens, or enjoy a picnic at one of the county's scenic lakes.

A popular park for camping and fishing in a secluded mountain environment; located on the shores of Lake Burton with fishing for children and senior citizens, as well as seasoned anglers. This park is shared between Rabun and Habersham Counties.

Trail: Appalachian Trail and Hemlock Falls Hours: 7 am - 10 pm Known as the park "where spring spends the summer," Moccasin Creek is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the shores of lovely Lake Burton. Its central location makes it a perfect jumping off spot for high country exploration. Camping, boat dock/ramp, fishing pier, hiking/nature trails, and lakeside picnicking. One of the most spectacular gorges in the eastern U.S., the chasm is two miles long and nearly 1,000 feet deep. The park's breathtaking views and the town's rich history make this area a favorite stopping point along U.S. Highway 441. This park is shared between Rabun and Habersham Counties.

Hours: 8am - dark Created as a state park through a partnership with Georgia Power, Tallulah Gorge is one of the most spectacular gorges in the southeastern U.S. running 2 miles and nearly 1,000 feet deep.
