Big Brothers Big Sisters of Forsyth County

BBBS works closely with parents and guardians to match children with an appropriate Big Brother or Big Sister. Every potential volunteer is screened, trained and supervised to help ensure that the relationship will be safe and rewarding for everyone involved. BBBS mentors children, ages 6 through 12 that are primarily from single-parent families.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is a volunteer service organization composed of men and women who actively support boating safety and other Coast Guard civil missions. The Auxiliary was established by Congress in 1939 as the Coast Guard civilian volunteer component and is currently expanding its role within “Team Coast Guard”. The Commandant of the Coast Guard authorizes the Auxiliary to participate in mission areas under an umbrella known as the Four Cornerstones:
