Inpection Notes 2-2B Employee drink in coffee cup- employee drinks may only be in a disposable cup with a lid and straw. New Violation
2-2D Hand sink completely blocked with equipment , trash can- keep hand sinks accessible at all times to encourage required employee hand washing. New Violation.
6-2 No date marking- food prepared in -house must e labeled with prep date and may only be held for 7 days including prep date. New Violation
11C Shrimp thawing in standing water- use approved thawing methods- under running water at 70F or less, in cooler , as a part of cooking, in microwave if cooking immediately. New Violation
12A Storage on floor- all storage must be 6 inches above the floor to prevent contamination and insect/rodent attraction. New Violation
12B Employee handing food without hair restrain- must wear hat, net, etc when handling food. New Violation
14A Plastic cup and scoop both in rice storage,scoop with handle down- keep only scoop rice, and keep handle out of rice to avoid contamination. New Violation
15C Gaskets on all coolers with mold/mildew , food debris- clean gaskets thoroughly and frequently to prevent contamination insect/rodent attraction. New Violation
15C Storage containers dirty on the outside- clean thoroughly. New Violation
16B No back flow device on hose at mop sink- install back flow device immediately. New Violation
16B Vegetable prep sink sealed to wall with duct tape- remove duct tape and seal to wall with approved sealant- caulk. etc. New Violation
17C Floors throughout have food, trash, etc- clean floors all the way to the floor/wall juncture to prevent contamination and insect/rodent attraction. New Violation
17C Floor of walk in cooler repaired with duct tape- remove duct tape and have floor repaired with suitable, approved materials. New Violation
17D Hood vent system dripping grease- schedule a cleaning ASAP . New Violation

The effective date of the new Food Service Rules and Regulations is February 15, 2006. Establishments permitted after February 15, 2006 will have 90 days to obtain certification for a food service manager. Enforcement of all other requirements begins on November 15, 2006.

The Hall County Environmental Health Department will be offering ServSafe classes on April 5th and 6th, 2006 (2-day attendance). Please call for more information and to register at (770) 531-3973. There is a limit of 40 persons. Future classes will be announced at a later date.
