4-2A Foods not covered in coolers and taco shells on shelf- keep all foods covered and taco shells in a closed container after frying. New Violation. 4-2B Dishes being washed, rinsed and not sanitized- all kitchenware that is a food contact surfaces must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. New Violation 6-2 No dates on foods- all prepared, ready to eat foods that are held longer than 24 hours and are potentially hazardous must be labeled with a 7 day discard date. New Violation 17D Light shield missing on light in kitchen- replace/ New Violation

The effective date of the new Food Service Rules and Regulations is February 15, 2006. Establishments permitted after February 15, 2006 will have 90 days to obtain certification for a food service manager. Enforcement of all other requirements begins on November 15, 2006.

The Hall County Environmental Health Department will be offering ServSafe classes on April 5th and 6th, 2006 (2-day attendance). Please call for more information and to register at (770) 531-3973. There is a limit of 40 persons. Future classes will be announced at a later date.
