The effective date of the new Food Service Rules and Regulations is February 15, 2006. Establishments permitted after February 15, 2006 will have 90 days to obtain certification for a food service manager. Enforcement of all other requirements begins on November 15, 2006.

The following certifications will be approved.
- ServSafe - 1-800-765-2122 website
- National Certified Professional Food Manager website
- The National Registry of Food Safety Professionals - 1-800-446-0257 website
- Certified Food Protection Professional - 1-800-323-1908 website
The Hall County Environmental Health Department will be offering ServSafe classes on April 5th and 6th, 2006 (2-day attendance). Please call for more information and to register at (770) 531-3973. There is a limit of 40 persons. Future classes will be announced at a later date.
