Banks County Parks and Recreation
The Banks County Recreation Department, located off U.S. 441, North at the Windmill Farm Complex, provides a comprehensive recreational program for just about everyone who is a county residence. The complex is set in the midst of beautiful acreage and in conjunction with the local school system offers a variety of programs for the young and old alike on a year-round basis.
The Recreation Department provides four tennis courts and a six-lane track as well as a horse arena, a pistol range, and a nature trail. The Senior Citizen's Center is located within the complex. It provides social, leisure and recreational activities as well as a hot meal at lunch and transportation to and from home if needed.

Directions from Gainesville: Take US Hwy. 365 north 11 miles from Exit 7; turn right on Mud Creek Rd; go 1 mile and turn left on Old Cornelia Hwy.; go 0.1 mile and turn right on Yonah Road; go 2.1 miles to entrance of area on left.
Public hunting, hiking and primitive camping. State owned lands acquired in 1993. Rolling terrain. 15 mi. E. of Gainesville near Alto. Public shooting range. Campground, Trails/Hiking.
